Learn to Read Music Quickly!

Music is the easiest, funnest, and most adaptable "foreign language" we can learn!   

These are three fun piano-based classes which rapidly build skills in reading and understanding music.  These courses are designed to build on skills.  Participants need not take all three, however  instructor permission is necessary if they have missed an earlier class.

Part One

1.5 hours, $25 in advance or $30 at the door, plus $5 material fee

Learning to read 2 octaves, understanding intervals, the major scale and accidentals, playing C major scale, beginning rhythm, starting pieces

Part Two

1.5 hours, $25 in advance or $30 at the door, plus $5 material fee

Reading 4 octaves, major scales in different keys, key signatures, more rhythm, finger training, new music

Part Three

1.5 hours, $25 in advance or $30 at the door

Reading chords, beginning inversions, starting extensions through 7ths,  beginning arpeggios, more finger flexes and music, possible extra: playing scale of chord
